According to some structural reforms taken by the State’s Government, energy sectors are profitable to invest. Renewable energies represent the future’s strategic model, because of their decreasing rate in costs. Quintana Roo is considered a well conditioned State to use renewable energies, mainly: solar energy, wind energy and hydraulic.
In March 2018, it took place the Worldwide Forum of Energy’s Regulation, in which Quintana Roo’s Governor, Carlos Joaquín González assured that at least two renewable projects are taking place at the State, mainly on de municipalities of Felipe Carrillo Puerto and Bacalar, as well as at centre and south of the State,
Quintana Roo is using renewable energies at the economic activities taking place at the countryside. The first agricultural irrigation system with renewable energy it will be pioneer at the Yucatan Peninsula.

Xcaret Group made an investment of 175 millions of dollars for the construction of the first daylight adventure park that Cancun will have, it is called “Xavage”.

Outlet Riviera Maya – GICSA Group
- 157 million dollar investment.
- 5,000 direct and indirect jobs creation.
- Planned opening at November 2020.
- Located at Puerto Morelos.
- It will have artificial lakes with an area of more than 80 thousand of m2. In addition to it, the extension will overcome 40 thousand m2 por entertainment, such as: aquarium and artificial lakes.

Urban Center
251 million pesos invested on Benito Juárez, an 8 thousand and 989 m2 area, a commercial area of 20661m, that will have an underground parking, a ground floor, and two levels in which the local commerce will take place. One of the main characteristics it’s that it will have an outdoor front atrium, with endemic species form Quintana Roo. It will be one of the main service centers to the population around.
